Questions, answered.
Without the maze.
A few practical details about supported links, privacy, downloads, and failures.
Do I need an Instagram account?
No. InstaGrab's workflow does not ask you to sign in or provide Instagram login credentials.
What does InstaGrab support?
InstaGrab supports publicly available Reels/videos, single photos, and multi-item image posts where the source and extraction methods make the media available.
Can I download a private account's post?
No. InstaGrab is intended for media available through public links. Private or restricted content can fail.
Why did a public link fail?
Instagram can change page delivery, media URLs, access rules, or anti-automation behavior. A post can also be deleted, region-restricted, temporarily unavailable, or inaccessible to the extraction engine.
Are carousel posts supported?
Yes, when the carousel's media can be resolved. Multiple items are returned together as a ZIP download.
Can I download Instagram Reels without a watermark?
InstaGrab does not add a watermark to downloaded media. When Instagram makes the Reel's source media available without an embedded watermark, the downloaded file can retain that source version.
Do you store my Instagram password?
No. There is no Instagram login flow in InstaGrab.
How long are downloaded files kept?
The backend stores generated media in temporary job folders. Jobs expire after about 60 minutes and a cleanup process removes expired job folders. Hosting restarts can also remove temporary files.
Does InstaGrab guarantee every download?
No. Third-party platforms can change at any time, and some URLs will not expose downloadable media to the extraction methods used by the service.
Is InstaGrab affiliated with Instagram?
No. InstaGrab is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Can I use the downloaded media for anything?
You are responsible for having the necessary rights or permission to save and use media. Respect copyright, privacy, and Instagram's applicable terms.
